One of the oldest laboratories
at the Institute of Nuclear Sciences "Vinča"
Our Laboratory's research includes molecular aspects of biomedicine,
endocrinology, neurobiology, psychiatry, carcinogenesis
and radiation biology.
Designed after
nuclear institutes in other countries
The Laboratory of Molecular Biology and Endocrinology also provides commercial services
for the healthcare, pharmaceutical and food industries.
The laboratory is actively involved
in science popularization projects
A significant part of the Laboratory's activities is educational work
which includes the training of young researchers, as well as mentoring of graduate,
master's and doctoral theses.

About us

The Laboratory of Molecular Biology and Endocrinology deals with the understanding of the fundamental mechanisms of radiation action on living systems and in parallel with radiobiology, it also works on the development of other biological disciplines: biochemistry, genetics, endocrinology, embryology, immunology and molecular biology.

Its beginning dates back to 1949, when the Radiobiology Laboratory was established at the "Vinča" Institute.

What we do?

The Laboratory of Molecular Biology and Endocrinology, in addition to solving fundamental scientific problems, introduces and develops new scientific research methods and techniques, not only for its own needs, but also for the needs of other scientific institutions and economic organizations.
